Lion Brothers Building Earns Awards for Preservation and Community Impact

Posted 08/04/2018

The transformation of the historic Lion Brothers building, one of the oldest structures in the Hollins Market neighborhood of southwest Baltimore, is serving as another successful case study in building restoration and adaptive use, community revitalization, and the effectiveness of historic tax credits. The building, which opened in January 2017 and is fully occupied, has already received two awards: a Baltimore Heritage Award honoring outstanding preservation and revitalization and a Community Impact Award from the Baltimore chapter of Commercial Real Estate Women (CREW). The renovation was designed by Cho Benn Holback, a Quinn Evans Company, for Cross Street Partners.
